Adult Day

What is Adult Day?

In the Adult Day Program, we transition your child/client from life as a school-age teen into adulthood. We provide hands-on teaching and training, focusing on basic family living skills, social skills, and communication. Your child/client will be part of a large group with a staff-to-client ratio of 1:4.

During the day, we focus on tasks that will help them hit the goals we set for your child/client. Each client will participate in our music therapy every Friday. They will also work 1:1 for about 2-3 hours a week with our Qualified Mental Health Specialist. While they are with us, we work closely to help hit the goals you set for your child/client and practice our social and communication skills.

Communication

If your child/client doesn't already have a means of communication, we introduce PECs and Visual Icons to aid communication development. Communication is the most important thing we help our clients develop. Supporting our clients in discovering their voice and the communication method that works best for them helps them guide their day and decrease behaviors. We teach clients how to use communication devices or visuals, so they have a way to communicate and have choices.

Service Location

Our Adult Day Program is only available at our Duck Creek Location, from 8:30 am -2:30 pm, Monday - Friday.
